Long, long ago Britain was blessed with a wise and mighty king. His name was Bendigeidfran, and he had a sister, the princess Branwen, who was the fairest and kindest girl in all the land. Word of her beauty reached over the sea to Ireland, and soon there were perilous journeys made and messages sent from shore to shore.
The story of Branwen is one of love and loyalty and of a mighty giant’s feats. But it is also a story of jealousy and cruel deeds, of suspicion and fear, and of a war that ravages two kingdoms.
